memoir excerpt

...and i remember clearly the day we were beaten by pioneer at the old Saints ground. i ripped off my jersey and flung it in front of tay together with insults to his coaching and character. as i cried in frustration and a desire to be a winner instead of a loser in front of the church still smelling from the game i was certain i would never play in chinese high or hwachong colours ever again. terence was the one who eventually made me walk back, only to hear mikail speak of how we were going to beat RI and Barker. now i respect mikail as a friend and organizer but he is not in the league of any of the captains i later played under and i knew that he was speaking unrealistically. having called the rafflesians my family and played with the barker boys at u19 and the club i know that for certain....since then i played against tay's teams twice for scc and beating them by cricket scores on both occasions has rarely been more satisfying....

weird dream last night of people i haven't seen in the longest time promeniently kylash, my pri sch pal ash, jason and alroy whom i don't even know well. and for the second time it ended with me copying dom's answers in an exam which has never and will never happen. wtf
